ABOUT

Blacks’ Myths is the bass-and-drums duo of bassist Luke Stewart and drummer Warren “Trae” Crudup III. Rooted in Black experimental music, free improvisation, jazz, noise, and post-rock, the duo builds dense, hypnotic sound worlds through electric bass, electronics, and drums. Blacks’ Myths has performed internationally at major experimental music festivals and venues, including Supersonic Festival, and has also performed with legendary Sun Ra Arkestra bandleader Marshall Allen, among many others. The group’s first two albums established its uncompromising approach to rhythm, improvisation, and sonic exploration. Blacks’ Myths is currently preparing its third studio album, Blacks’ Myths III.
