Aurore Voilqué was almost born with a violin in her hands: at the age of 4, she began learning with the Japanese Suzuki method, which trains the ear before training the student in reading notes and music theory.

Since then, Aurore has never stopped playing!

After some experience in classical orchestras, she played for several years in the Paris metro (formative experience!) to earn a living, before setting up the Aurore Quartet in 2003.

She then recorded her first album in self-production then approached bars, restaurants, festivals and event agencies to earn a living and above all to make the musicians around her work.

One thing led to another, from meeting to meeting, she evolved in the world of gypsy jazz. Very quickly, she joined Thomas Dutronc 's team who regularly asked her to accompany him on his tours in France. She will also be part of the line up of heralbum “Live is Love”, released by the legendary jazz label “Blue Note” in 2017.

Active, she records several records and joins the programming of the biggest French jazz festivals ( Jazz à Vienne, Marciac, Vauvert, La Baule, Jazz en Baie, Jazz Nîmes Métropole, 24h du Swing, etc. ), and performs on stages renowned jazz clubs ( Duc des Lombards, Sunset, Petit Journal Montparnasse, Méridien Jazz Café Montparnasse, etc. ).

In 2009, she went to play at Birdland in New York alongside guitarist Samson Schmitt and accordionist Ludovic Beier .

In 2012, she met the organist Rhoda Scott during jams at La Huchette (among others). Aurore suggests to Rhoda that she record aalbum in tribute to Django, “Djangolized», which will be released in 2013.

In 2016, on the occasion of the Festival des Rencontres Orient/Occident in Switzerland, she participated in a residency of international artists (Greece, Turkey, Morocco) and recorded with themthe album “Orient Ouest”.

In 2017, she was invited to the Lycée Français de Los Angeles for a concert and a masterclass with Sammy Daussat and Noé Reinhardt .

Between 2015 and 2018, Aurore Voilqué was selected “Génération Spedidam”; the Jazz en Baie Festival then commissioned an electro project from her that she produced with Aurélien Robert (guitar), Basile Mouton (bass) and Pierre Boscheron (samples machines): the album Mayfairthe Mayfair albumreleased in 2018.

Between 2017 and 2019, in parallel with her career as a musician, she provided programming for the Jazz Café Montparnasse.
To this day, she still provides jazz programming for 2 other establishments: the Feuilleraie and the Domaine de Bellevue.

In 2018, she began an artistic collaboration with Angelo Debarre , one of her favorite guitarists in the gypsy style, and brought together the most requested rhythm player in the field: Mathieu Chatelain (rhythm guitar) and Claudius Dupont (double bass). They record togetherthe album “Bohemian Waltz”which comes out in 2018.

In September 2019, they went to Seattle to perform at the Django NorthWest Festival .

During confinement, Aurore is launching crowdfunding. Thanks to the great generosity of donors, she can achieve with the trio of musiciansthe album “A Summer Evening”on which she invites Thomas Dutronc and Sanseverino .

Regularly in demand, the quartet group often takes to the road to perform in France and Europe: Django l'H Festival in Barcelona , ​​Djangofestivalen in Oslo , Budapest Django Festival in Hungary , Django Reinhardt Festival in Fontainebleau ...

In May 2023, Aurore Voilqué will travel to New York alongside Stéphane Wrembel at the Django à Gogo festival . Heading to Australia in June, where she will sing with the group Paris Combo for a tribute to the singer and creator of the group Belle Du Berry who recently passed away.”
