Xenia Rubinos
APPEARING: Brooklyn MARATHON @ Union Pool
Saturday, January 10, 2026
Xenia Rubinos is a NY-based vocalist, composer, and performing artist from Hartford, CT born to a Cuban father and Puerto Rican mother . The pillars of Xenia’s artistic practice are embodiment and centering the voice as a living archive of the body. The New Yorker describes her work as “vocally generous, rhythmically fierce music that slips through the net of any known genre”. She has released three critically acclaimed albums, toured internationally and performed at NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, MoMa, and Pitchfork Music Festival. Equally at home in rock clubs as she is in museums, theaters and festivals, Xenia’s work is increasingly anti-disciplinary engaging with multiple modes in performance, composition, theater and visual media.
